Late last week, I came to the point where I realized that I really don't know what's the best way to pray regarding our nation. The games being played by both factions of the "deep state" threaten to destroy our once great Republic and the final bastion of true liberty through the debasement of our de jure constitutional form of government, and it almost be taken from us. The events of these past several months alone show how close we are to the precipice of utter destruction and ruination, and that deservedly so.
In response to this, I began then to prepare my body for a fast through a keto cleanse, abstaining from any pleasant foods for their own sake. As I've continued to weep over the future of these several united States and the deep divisions that threaten to destroy us from within, praying for knowledge, wisdom and understanding as to how to pray in accordance with the will of my Heavenly Father, the LORD God Almighty, in this situation—thus far I had been praying for the bringing of all evil things done in secret in all levels of government to light; the execution of justice against all who oppose and work against the truth through wickedness and deceit; and the re-establishment of the rule of law—it occurred to me that I've been praying rather selfishly for the preservation of our republic and my personal blessings therethrough at any and all costs.
However, the heart of Jesus is for the souls of the lost, and I've been convicted in my own heart of the seeking of that which was best according to my limited reasoning and thought processes, even as I yet look through a glass darkly. How can I conscience the looking of Jesus, He who shed his precious blood unto death for redemption of humanity and the salvation of the world, in His holy eyes that burn with fire at His judgement seat with the knowledge that I chose to pursue my temporary freedom and liberty in this life over that of whatever is best for the bringing of lost souls into His kingdom? Something has to be done to awaken our nation from its ever deepening spiritual slumber, repenting ourselves of our national whoredoms and clothing our nakedness, and sometimes God's hand of judgement is the only way that He can get the attention of a nation and her people.
Thus I've changed my praying from "show us mercy and save the republic" to "do whatever is best for the saving of the lost", and this regardless of the cost. If the best way to accomplish this is through the merciful restoration of our nation into a true Constitutional Republic where the rule of law under wise and law-abiding leaders who love liberty and are willing to pay the price to keep such a republic, with righteous, legal justice being brought to certain lawless and traitorous evil doers, I say amen. If the best way to provide for the salvation of souls is the loss of our freedoms and liberties and the deliverance of our nation into the hands of cruel authority for destruction of our republic, even the loss of my own life through martyrdom after torture, I still say amen. And if our Father be pleased to reveal certain things with which and against which to war in the heavenlies through prayers, petitions, supplications and intercessions in either regard, thanks be to our God for allowing us the privilege of being used by Him thusly.
I'm now praying that the LORD God Almighty will once again intervene in the affairs of fallen, sinful men as it relates to the life of our people and body politic of our nation, doing whatever He wills at it relates to providing the best environment for the salvation of the lost, and that He will reveal this will clearly so that His servants can pray more perfectly according to His will. Whether the truth about the dark secrets that have been hidden are revealed at this time or remain undisclosed until the Great White Throne Judgement, whether our republic stands or falls, all that I desire is that as many as would be saved come to repent towards God and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I offer my body as a living sacrifice, and I request that starting this Friday at sunset, all who would will join me in humbling ourselves through a true fast of only water for as long as they will in which we seek the will of God for our nation as it relates to the bringing about of national repentance at any cost. I intend to fast until led to stop or my body exits the no-hunger phase. Who knows how He might be pleased to answer this prayer?
Will you please join me in praying that our Father in Heaven does whatever is best regarding the future of our nation as it relates to bringing as many as such as should be saved to a saving knowledge of Jesus? Will you lay down your freedoms, even your very life, for the souls of your fellow Americans, if that be the cost? Will you love them more than yourself for Jesus' sake? Will you seek their eternal salvation over that of our temporal pleasure, comfort and safety? Isn't Jesus worthy of His reward?
