There is going to be a lot of false prophets back-tracking, hedging, "spiritualizing" or otherwise retracting their lies and deceits in the coming days. If what they said wasn't 100% accurate as they originally said it, mark, avoid and do not fear them! Indeed, they are worthy of death (Deuteronomy 18:20-22), and should be grateful that under the new covenant of the blood until the Times of the Gentles be fulfilled, they are spared this.
A true prophet under the new covenant of the blood, having been given as such by Christ to His church (Ephesians 4:11), will always speak in accordance with the word, the holy scriptures. Before they say, "Thus saith the Lord," they will say, "It is written," (2 Peter 1:16-21) having studied to shew themself approved, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). A "word for today" will never contradict the written word! (Malachi 3:6, James 1:17, Hebrews 13:8) Those that say otherwise, with phrases like, "Not everything that God does is in the Bible," or, "God is doing a new thing," or, "God changed his mind because we prayed," or, "There's a lot of crazy things in that book," are liars speaking with the forked tongue of the unclean spirit of our adversary (Amos 3:7, Ecclesiastes 1:9).
There are many voices purporting to speak in the name of the Lord, having received dreams and visions from Him. Most of them are the prophets of Satan "inspired" by His devils. (Jeremiah 23:25-28) We are told to try the spirits, for not every spirit is of God (1 John 4:1-3). I learned a long time ago to challenge the spirit behind a purported prophet or any preacher with this test: "spirit, I charge thee by the Lord Jesus Christ to give God the glory and declare the truth in this matter: Who sayest thou that Jesus Christ of Nazareth be? Is Jesus come in the flesh? Is Jesus the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form? Is Jesus the Christ, the Son of the living God?" (No, you don't have to use early modern Elizabethan English, but when one reads God's AV/KJV Bible regularly with faith, their mind will be renewed thereby and thought patterns conformed to it—and whether or not you recognize the King James Bible as God's pure word, devils do, and they take note when you know it.)
Without exception, the Holy Spirit and every true ministering spirit will rejoice with your spirit in the truth of this, and every false and lying spirit will revulse at and reject this. (I can't count how many times that I've walked into a church and feeling a check in my spirit that something was wrong, spoke this quietly yet audibly—but never in a manner that was disruptive to their service—to have that spirit that was operative come against me, every hair on my body standing on end as it tried to oppress me.) The unclean spirit will drive the one under its sway to use such language as, "Jesus came/has come in the flesh," denying that He is yet still in the flesh, having been resurrected in His body of flesh; or, "Jesus was made God/became God's son when he was anointed by the spirit at his baptism," denying Jesus' sonship and being Christ, the Messiah, from conception, the incarnation of the eternal Word (John 1:1-5, 14, 1 John 5:6-7); or say anything to avoid confessing that Jesus is—actively, presently, continuously—come in the flesh.
Before receiving a prophecy, or allowing anyone to lay hands on you, test that spirit that empowers them! Please, obey God's word and protect yourself thereby.
Time is short. Read your Bible, asking for wisdom in all things and believing that God wants to give you wisdom (James 1:5-7). Do not despise prophesyings, but rather prove them, holding onto that which is true (1 Thessalonians 5:20-21). The true gifts of the Spirit are still for today, inasmuch as the conditions clearly laid out for their ceasing and the stated proof thereof have not yet come to pass (1 Corinthians 13:8-12); however, we are to remain on guard, least we be deceived by those operating under another spirit with counterfeit gifts (Matthew 24:24, 2 Corinthians 11:4).
Whatever happens over the next several days and years is going to be eye-opening one way or the other. Whether that be for our good or evil has yet to be seen. Don't let your hearts fail you for fear; just trust that our Father is still in control (Luke 21:26, Psalm 73:26, John 14:27, Philippians 4:6-7, Psalm 125:2, Isaiah 55:8-9). If you haven't already, repent towards God of all known sin having faith in our Lord Jesus Christ that His shed blood has paid it all (Acts 20:21, Romans 10:8-13, 1 John 1:9), actively applying His blood through the declaration of His word, the Holy Bible, that which is in print what Jesus is in the flesh, in your life (Revelation 12:11).
What an exciting time in which to live! Front row seat tickets to the end of days, anyone?!
