A Rosie Weekend

Here I lie in my bed alone,
the one woman whom I love most in this world
having betrayed me for another.

There she lies in her bed alone,
the man with whom she cheated on me
not being able to bring himself again to have her.

There he lies in his bed with another,
cheating on her who cheated on me
as she pines away for his desire.

Here we are, two souls adrift
looking for love but only finding
misery, heartbreak and loneliness.

Except for him, he who gets
to have his companion and his side whore
while my friend languishes and I wither.
